Hosted by: Voices of Ku-ring-gai

In conjunction with The Nature Conservation Council Voices of Ku-ring-gai is hosting a picnic to bring nature lovers together to connect over the natural beauty and biodiversity of our local area at Ku-ring-gai. Be sure to bring your family and friends!
Ku-ring-gai is bound by three national parks - Garigal National Park, Lane Cove National Park, and Ku-ring-gai Chase National Park.
Ku-ring-gai lists six endangered ecological communities including two listed as critically endangered - The Blue Gum High Forest and the Sydney Turpentine Ironbark Forest. Humans have degraded much of these native environments through land clearing, rezoning for development, poisoning individual trees etc. We must do more to protect our rare urban forests before their flora and fauna become extinct.
Clearing and loss of vegetation for development is rapidly expediting their extinction.
During the picnic, local conservationists will share knowledge of our rare biodiversity.
BYO picnic basket and blanket.
Please note that your RSVP information will be shared with co-host organisations.
