Come and join us for a Picnic for Nature on the Central Coast. The Community Environment Network (CEN) is delighted to be hosting our first Picnic for Nature to celebrate nature, biodiversity, bushland and waterways where we live.
CEN is an alliance of community and environment groups from the NSW Central Coast and Lake Macquarie. Learn about what we do to protect our waterways, our wildlife, our bushland, the projects we are working on and how you can be involved.
Please join us for a guided walk through Porters Creek Wetland - registrations are essential.
When: Saturday, 21 October 2023, from 9:30am til 11:30am
Where: Warnervale, exact location will be emailed to registrants
What: a 1 3/4 hour guided walk through the Paperbark Forest to the Billabong, the beating heart of this amazing wetland! Learn about the native flora and fauna that call this beautiful area home.
Safety information: This is a Grade 4 Walk. Bushwalking experience recommended. Tracks may be long, rough and very steep. There is no directional signage.
What to bring: wear sturdy shoes suitable for bushwalking, wear sun protective clothing, bring sunblock, drinking water and snacks.
Cost: $5 per person.
