We are excited to announce that the Sutherland Shire Environment Centre is teaming up with the Nature Conservation Council of NSW to participate in the state-wide Picnic for Nature. This event is designed to bring people together, build community and celebrate nature. The picnic is also an opportunity for us to invite nature lovers to join the SSEC, to welcome new members, talk about our campaigns and directions and, help more of us to become actively engaged in conserving our local environment.

Bring a blanket, your favourite picnic food, cameras, binoculars, family and friends! As part of the nature celebration we’ll have a team of superstar local guides, educators and naturalists to lead tours in the park, including:

• Bird watching basics with Ricki Coughlan
• Spring flower walk with Ian Hill
• Kids discovery walk and nature's treasure hunt
