This event will be hosted at Griffith Park on the harbour front at Stockton, near the wharf, and adjacent to the kids’ big playground, from 1-4pm. Please invite your family and friends, and your members and associates. Please bring your own everything, but please NO pop-up tents. The idea is to give everyone who cares about nature the opportunity to celebrate the natural beauty and biodiversity of the place where they live, at a simple low-key picnic. Environmental Groups are welcome to run a BYO table for pamphlets, sign on sheets, etc; and talk about what your group does. It will be part of a state-wide picnic day, coordinated by Nature Conservation Council to celebrate our natural environment, the creatures that call it home, and everyone who works to protect and help it. Much rain is forecast for this Spring, so if it is a wet day, we have no shelter option and will simply cancel the picnic; with notifications on the Facebook pages below: Climate Action Newcastle | Protect Our Coast Alliance
