Notice: this event has been postponed to Sunday October 30th 11-2pm.
Co-hosted by: Mudgee District Environment Group (MDEG), Mudgee Arts Precinct (MAP), Mudgee Local Aboriginal Land Council (MLALC).
Description: In celebration of the NCC Picnic for Nature we invite you to a community picnic at the iconic, much loved and significant location known locally as ‘The Drip’. Our picnic coincides with The Drip inspired ‘Ngayirr Ngurambang’ Sacred Country exhibition currently showing at the Mudgee Arts Precinct.
The Drip has been treasured by generations of people. Visitors are awed by picturesque bushland, soaring sandstone escarpments cradling the sandy river bed, and the abundant native plants and wildlife that The Drip Gorge supports.
Come along and have a yarn; go for a walk; be surrounded by the sounds of Nature; enjoy the beauty of the river, the majesty of the towering gums, the grandeur of the Dripping Gorge; see the landscape that inspired the artists; hear about its significance.
Bring along a picnic, connect with our local community and celebrate the natural beauty and biodiversity of our local area. Proudly supported by MDEG, MAP and MLALC.
Click here for information on how to get to 'the Drip'. 50km north of Mudgee on the Ulan-Cassilis Road. Look for the sign post to The Drip parking area and walking track.
Please note that your RSVP information will be shared with co-host organisations.
