Panel Discussion: An Alternative Vision for South Coast Forests

NCC is hosting a panel discussion on the future of native forest logging in South Coast forests at the Moruya Golf Club on the 4th of April from 6-7:30pm. This event has free entry!

The panel will feature a combination of experts and members of the local community who have particular interest in the conservation of this region's public forests. These include:

Professor David Lindenmayer: A world-leading expert in forest ecology and resource management, conservation science, and biodiversity conservation from the Australian National University. 

Sean Dooley: The National Public Affairs Manager of Birdlife Australia, birdwatcher, author and former editor of the magazine Australian Birdlife. 

Julie Taylor-Mills: Southern Representative of the Nature Conservation Council board.

Fiona McCuaig: Local business operator, owner of the Bodalla Dairy and Bodalla pub and also a member of the Narooma Chamber of Commerce.

Uncle Bunja Smith: Uncle Bunja is a Walbanga Elder of the Yuin nation, with deep roots in the Eurobodalla.

Joslyn Van Der Moolen: Member of the Coastwatchers Association Forest Working Group, Joslyn has been involved in forest activism for years. This includes surveying and auditing local forests before and after logging.
