Chatswood West - Picnic for Nature

Hosted by: Forest Voice and Ryde Environment Group and Save Sydney Koalas

"Love our forests, love our koalas, love our local bushland"

Join us for a Picnic for Nature at the Chatswood West athletics field and bushland park. We will meet at the bushland edge, at the eastern end of the park. Please see the map below. Car entry is off Mowbray Road.

The picnic will be on Sunday 27 October from 4pm - 7pm.
Being at the cooler end of the day we will -

  • watch the dusk over the Lane Cove River
  • be on the look out for Nesting Ospreys (bring binoculars if you have them)
  • spot Fire Tailed finches and Blue Wrens feeding on the grassed areas
  • discover the wildflowers
  • take the time to discover what else nature will reveal at dusk.

There will be games for the kids - tied tennis, sponge shuttlecock and Skandi Skittles for all!

Bring your picnic rug or a camp chair and something to share and don't forget the Aeroguard. All are encouraged to attend, Mum, Dad, children, grandchildren... everyone.

You'll also get a chance to meet with those who are committed to preserving nature and discover a thing or two.

We look forward to seeing you all there.

Please note that your RSVP information will be sent to the host/s.
