Hosted by: The Hills Shire Council and the Cattai Hills Environment Network (CHEN)
Please join us for our Picnic for Nature. The Picnic this year is part of our annual Bird Walk event as part of Bird Week.
Lunch with the Birds and Bushcare
Celebrate National Bird Week and come along on a guided birdwatching walk with a local bird expert from the Cumberland Bird Observers Club to see how many birds you can find! The old scribbly gums and dense understorey plants in the surrounding environment provides a home for many birds which are seen in our local gardens. We will have a celebratory Picnic for Nature lunch and then make a difference to key bird habitat with a guided Bushcare session with the local Fred Cat Weed Warriors Bushcare group!
Meeting Point - Meet at Field 4, Fred Caterson Drive, Fred Caterson Reserve Castle Hill
What to Bring: Please bring a hat, sunscreen, drinking water and wear enclosed shoes.
Important Information: This guided walk is approximately 3km long and is on bush tracks and paved paths. We recommend people who take part in this event are of reasonable fitness. This event is not suitable for children under 5 years. Please note this event is only available to residents of The Hills Shire.
A BBQ picnic lunch is provided at this event. Please bring something to share and come along to celebrate nature!
