You’re invited to be part of the Solidarity Tour to Wollar on 14–16 November, a weekend of grounding, learning and connection.
We’ll spend two days together in Wollar visiting the Moolarben coal mine and hearing from the local community about their fight to protect land and water. We’ll also take time to connect the dots between climate justice and Palestine solidarity, and prepare to take action ahead of the IPC hearing on the mine expansion.
This year, we learned that Yancoal, the company behind Moolarben, exported coal to Israel during its assault on Gaza. That coal is being burned to fuel military operations, making the Australian fossil fuel industry directly complicit in the genocide. This tour is about exposing these links between extraction, occupation and violence, and standing together to say that Australia must stop fuelling genocide and the climate crisis.
We’ll be travelling down together from Sydney! Please read through the participants brief and register to secure your place! This is a space to slow down, learn from each other and build the confidence to go back to our communities ready to act.
