Since 1955, the Nature Conservation Council of NSW has acted as the state’s leading environmental advocacy organisation and peak body for nature. Join NCC’s campaigners at Wurridjal Festival 2025 to learn how to build social movements and form successful campaigns for nature and your community.
This introductory community organising training workshop will teach you how to turn discontent into action, exploring the four key areas of storytelling, strategy, advocacy, and outreach. This compressed version of our two-day people power strategy training program will offer a hands-on evening that explores some of the basics of making political and social change for nature, drawing upon the Cooks River context.
Pizza and refreshments will be provided. RSVPs are essential as spaces are limited. The workshop will begin at 5.45, but later arrivals will still be welcome to participate.
