NCC Volunteer Roles

Thank you for your interest in volunteering with the Nature Conservation Council. We couldn’t do the work we do without our community of passionate, dedicated nature-lovers. Volunteering is a way to take meaningful action to help the environment movement ensure strong outcomes for nature. 

Below you can see current volunteer roles available at NCC, but if you’re keen to help out in a way that you can’t see below – don't hesitate to reach out using the form!

Fundraising Appeal Processor 

  • Learning systems for payment processing at NCC

Organising

Healthy Ecosystems

General HEP support 

  • Support delivery of the individual programs within the Healthy Ecosystems Program including Hotspots, Bushfire Program and Large Forest Owls Project.  
  • This will include support for electronic and printed media development, data analysis, reporting, conference logistical support and some administrative duties.

Bushfire Program 

  • Help us recruit new skilled volunteers to sit on Bush Fire Risk Management Committees around the state 
  • This will include electronic printed media development, emailing, networking and phone calls to a range of organizations and individuals.

Website development and maintenance 

  • Help create and update a range of websites and online platforms associated with the Healthy Ecosystems Programs

Communications and Media

Merchandise dispatcher 

  • Download orders from the NCC shop (Shopify), print labels, find the products, package them up, insert VFN forms and any other campaign materials we might want sent out at that time, and dispatch them via Australia Post or courier service.

Social media assistant 

  • Social media support e.g. invites, follows etc

  • If you already travel to national parks and other environmentally significant areas, send in their photos for our use.
