Before coming to power, the Labor Government committed to protect the bush by stopping runaway land clearing. As part of this commitment, they plan to implement minor changes to the rules governing vegetation clearing on private land.
Public consultation is now open on the proposed ‘Land Management Code amendments’.
These changes are a step in the right direction – but do not go far enough to stop thousands of hectares being cleared each year on private land.
Please join us for a submission writing workshop on July 1st.
We’ll go over the latest land clearing data, what needs to change and why, and how to make a submission. The session will run for up to 45 minutes, and equip you with all the knowledge you need to write a submission in less than 15 minutes.
Date: Tuesday 1st July
Time: 1.00-1.45pm OR 7.00-7.45pm (register for just one)
