Title: Operations and Accounts Volunteer 

Location: Sydney 

Time Commitment: 1 day – 2 days per week until 30 June, 2025, potential for ongoing 

Supervisor Position Title: Office Coordinator 

 

Overview 

NCC is seeking a proactive and motivated self starter with strong attention to detail and excellent organisation skills to help support our organisation.  

As the busy EOFY period approaches, this role will provide vital support to member groups and donors, assisting with processing donations received over the phone and via mail, and ensuring records and invoices for our member groups are accurate.  

 Alongside assisting with daily operations of the organisation the Operations and Accounts Volunteer will play a critical role in assisting the Operations team to meet annual targets and work towards the strategic outcomes for NCC. 

 

Key Responsibilities 

The duties will include the following key responsibilities: 

  • assist with maintaining and updating member group record data  
  • assist with processing donations and other fundraising administration 
  • assist with preparation and collation of instruction manuals 
  • assist with general maintenance and cleanliness of the office 
  • assist staff as required 
  • other administrative duties as required 
  • with potential for the right person to progress into volunteer coordination activities and learn valuable people management skills; includes involvement in recruitment, training & supervision, induction, and position reviews for other volunteers 

 

Skills and Experience Required 

Essential 

  • Ability to problem solve  
  • Excellent attention to detail 
  • Good time management skills 
  • Excellent communication and phone skills 
  • Intermediate capability in Microsoft Word and Excel 
  • Desire to work as part of a team to achieve collective goals for the organisation 
     

Desirable 

  • Experience multitasking and balancing competing priorities 
  • Administration and database experience 
  • Good IT skills
