Ku-ring-gai Bat Conservation Society Inc. Volunteer Committee Member

Volunteer Committee Member – Ku-ring-gai Bat Conservation Society Inc.

Are you keen to support one of Australia’s most important pollinators?

Ku-ring-gai Bat Conservation Society Inc. are seeking a volunteer committee member, with an aptitude for accounts/bookkeeping, to support the work of the Ku-ring-gai Bat Conservation Society.

The Society has achieved many of its objectives but there is still a need to educate people about bats. Our bat handlers take live flying-foxes to community events – which always attracts an enthusiastic crowd!

Position title: Volunteer Committee Member

Location: NSW (can be remote)

Hours: 5-6 hours per month

Meeting with the rest of the committee at our quarterly committee meetings can be done via Zoom and email. Meetings generally last 1 to 1.25 hours. Good communication skills and an interest in bats are essential. An applicant with the ability to manage simple accounts using Microsoft Excel would be ideal.

If you have just a few hours a month to spare and would like to support Australia’s rich biodiversity, please get in touch with Nancy Pallin at [email protected]. Your help will be much appreciated.

The Ku-ring-gai Bat Conservation Society is a non-profit community organisation based in Sydney’s North Shore. We work for the conservation of all bat species, especially the grey-headed flying-fox. Please see www.sydneybats.org.au for more information.
