You're invited to join CEO Jacqui Mumford in conversation with Sydney Lord Mayor Clover Moore.
One month out from the NSW council elections, this discussion will explore the ways that local government can act to protect nature and act on climate.
It is not well understood just how big of a bearing local councils have on the ecological sustainability of communities across the whole of NSW. Councils can take bold action through development controls, managing vital community assets, resource recovery, and more. Nature and climate need action at all levels - and this presents a range of exciting opportunities.
Also on the night, we will be releasing our brand new policy platform: "Clean, Green and Local: Priorities for nature and climate in the 2024 local government elections"
