You are warmly invited to attend the forum 'Hands off Hawkesbury Habitat' on 30 November at 1pm - 3pm at the Tebbutt room at Windsor Library.
Mountains for Wildlife and Hawkesbury Environment Network (HEN) are teaming up to host an information session to help you shape the future of development in the Hawkesbury.
As a result of a recent meeting between HEN with representatives from Redbank Communities, it became apparent that there is a lot more to know about the process of development. If we are to protect habitat, our rural 'feel', and our wildlife, the community needs information on how decisions are made, and how residents can play a role.
Topics will include:
- The Development process from beginning to end - who is responsible for what?
- Local Traffic Committee/ Road upgrades - how are these decisions different and how can the community have a say?
- Compliance and how and when can the EDO get involved?
- Why do we need to act now, and how - stories from the Sydney Basin.
The event is free but we ask that you register via the following link: Hands off Hawkesbury Habitat .
Afternoon tea will be available after the forum and we welcome you to stay, mingle and form working groups if you so wish.
HEN's AGM will follow at approximately 4pm - 5pm, and those who are interested in attending are warmly welcomed.
We look forward to seeing you there!
