After the Great Koala National Park: New proposals worth fighting for Webinar

The announcement of the Great Koala National Park is one of the most significant conservation moments in NSW in decades. After more than a decade of work by communities, scientists and environmental groups, the full 176,000 hectares of precious native forest is on it’s way to being protected – safeguarding thousands of koalas, greater gliders and other threatened species.

But with critical habitats still being logged and cleared across NSW, there are many more places that urgently need protection. Across the state, dedicated grassroots groups are developing the next generation of protected area proposals that could become our future national parks.

Join us at this webinar to learn about:

  • What makes a successful protected area proposal
  • The most exciting proposals being worked on across NSW
  • How you can get involved and support these campaigns

Speakers:

  • David Gallan, photographer and filmmaker; President of NPA Far South Coast, on the Great Southern Forest National Park proposal
  • Dailan Pugh OAM, artist; President of North East Forest Alliance, on the Richmond River Koala Parks proposal
