How was the assessment conducted?
Our scorecards are based on the publicly available policies of each of the parties, as well as their responses to our policy survey sent in February 2019. Our policy survey asked parties to outline how they will address our policy asks on climate change, clean energy and deforestation. Our policy asks have been developed with leading environment groups and policy experts and are based on what the best science tells us is required for avoiding the worst of climate change and protect threatened species from habitat loss. Our assessment on the Murray-Darling is based upon the parties publicly available policies. Scorecards have been updated as new policy announcements have been made.
Our comprehensive suite of environmental policies were launched at NSW Parliament in August 2018, they are available here.
