NCC is seeking a proactive and motivated self starter with strong attention to detail and excellent organisation skills to help support our organisation.
The successful candidate will become an integral addition to the NCC Operations team working to support the staff, members, donors and the general public with enquiries and requests.
Alongside assisting with daily operations of the organisation the Volunteer Operations Assistant will play a critical role in assisting the Operations team to meet annual targets and work towards the strategic outcomes for NCC.

The duties will include the following key responsibilities:

  • general reception duties: phone, mail, email, banking & general data entry
  • financial administration including processing bills via our online accounting software
  • assist with processing donations and other fundraising administration
  • action booking requests for equipment and facilities
  • update & assist with maintenance of website, mailing lists & online and in-house databases
  • assist with the coordination of meetings and other NCC events
  • assist with preparation and collation of instruction manuals
  • trouble shoot problems, where required
  • assist with general maintenance and cleanliness of the office
  • assist staff as required
  • other administrative duties as required
  • with potential for the right person to progress into volunteer coordination activities and learn valuable people management skills; includes involvement in recruitment, training & supervision, induction, and position reviews for other volunteers

Essential

  • Ability to problem solve
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Good time management skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Intermediate capability in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Desire to work as part of a team to achieve collective goals for the organisation

Desirable

  • Experience multitasking and balancing competing priorities
  • Administration and database experience
  • Good IT skills
