Tell the Water Minister: Rivers are our lifeblood

Millions of fish, including 100-year-old Murray cod, are being wiped out in a human-made disaster caused by the NSW Government’s mismanagement of the river system, by corporate greed and climate change.
Tell the Water Minister Niall Blair to take responsibility, commit to better water management and stopping unsustainable draws on the river systems.

The devastating mass fish kill in the Darling River is a human-made disaster that has resulted from the mismanagement of the Murray-Darling River system by the NSW Government and other authorities. Scientists, farmers, locals and environmentalists have all stated drought is not to blame; it’s the decisions by your government to allow too much water to be diverted from the system.

I urge you to take responsibility, commit to better water management and stopping unsustainable draws on the river systems.

Protect the Murray Darling river system
