Protest to stop logging of native forests!
We rallied outside NSW Parliament calling on the NSW Government to stop logging forests still recovering from drought the recent devastating bushfires.
We are all there to support the delivery of a 25,000-signature petition to NSW Parliament calling on Forestry Corporation to end logging in the Nambucca forests.
The NSW Government and Forestry Corp have started logging Nambucca State Forest and plan to log Myrtle, Bungawalbin, Doubleduke, Styx River, Lower Bucca, and Kalang Headwaters state forests.
These are critical habitat for many native wildlife, including the masked owl, greater glider and Hasting River mouse.
We call on the NSW Government to stop all logging in public native forests now!
