This forest is about to be vaporised
Right now the NSW Forestry Corporation is about to vaporise a forest for industrial logging and I urgently need you to spread the word.
Kalang Forest on the north coast is home to endangered spotted-tail quolls and a nationally significant population of koalas. We can’t let the Forestry Corporation wipe out this forest.

Right now, forest defenders are blockading the area to stop Forestry Corporation logging these trees. For months, brave individuals have been sitting in trees to protect this beautiful forest ecosystem.
As a professional ecologist, I’ve surveyed this forest and have photographic evidence that koalas live here. If we don’t stop destroying their habit now, koalas are headed for extinction in a matter of decades. The government must not allow more of their trees to be logged.
The community is fighting hard to save this forest and will not let Forestry Corporation destroy this irreplaceable ecosystem. To succeed, we need your help to spread the word.
Environment Minister Matt Kean has the power to protect this forest and its koalas. We need to spread the word about what is at stake to ensure he hears the will of the people.
Follow the Kalang River Forest Alliance on Facebook for updates on the blockade and how you can help.
