Help us make the biodiversity crisis the matter of the moment this state election

The NSW Government is currently considering legislation that would increase habitat destruction on private land throughout the state. Throughout their term, this government has contiunuously weakened laws protecting habitat.

This is most obvious when we look at the case of the koala. Since the announcement of the government's goal of doubling koala populations by 2050, they have fallen to record lows and been uplisted to endangered.

The truth is that habitat loss and destruction is decimating our wildlife. Koalas need trees. Gliders need trees. Gang Gang’s need trees. Quolls need trees. Our wildlife needs homes but the increased rate of logging, land clearing, and development allowed by this government has torn them away.

But this recent federal election has shown us that our voices together can make a difference. Help us make habitat loss and the biodiversity crisis a key point for next year's state election.
